You can get featured on the homepage in two ways, a free option or a paid one. For more information on how the free feature option works click here.

How to book a Paid Feature

To book a paid feature click “Submit Apps” in the dashboard and then click “Create Feature”.

You can then fill out the details to book your feature banner. Please note that changes cannot be made to your feature banner after it has been booked - it will need to be cancelled and re-booked. You can cancel a feature banner up to 72 hours before it goes live and get a full refund, after that you can still cancel but no refund is given.

1. Select a banner image

Click to select an image for your feature banner. A good size is 2048px X 500px. The banner image is cropped on smaller screens so make sure to put important stuff in the centre of the image.

Here are some examples of great banners we have had in the past.

2. Feature Details

Enter the title, description and target url for your feature listing. The target url can be to your app page or an external link.

3. Feature Slots

Select from the available slots to book for your feature banner. You can only book 7 slots within a 30 day period. If the slot above you is not already booked then you will be automatically moved up until another slot is taken for instance, if you book slot 3 and slot 2 is not booked but slot 1 is then you will move to slot 2. If no slots above you are booked then you will move to the first slot unless someone else books the slot above you.

4. Payment

Enter your card details to book a feature slot. Your payment will be processed by stripe immediately and will secure the slot position.

Feature Time Intervals

The first 5 slots on the feature banner are shown for longer times decreasing in the length of time shown until it reaches the 6th slot.

Feature Analytics

To see the feature statistics click “Submit Apps” in the dashboard and then click “Past Features”. Select “Upcoming Features” to see features that are going to go live in the future.

In the past features you will be able to see all data for past features including today if you have a feature live.

The graph shows three data feeds:

• Impressions: The number of times your banner has been shown to a user. We exclude users who have scrolled down the page and browser tabs that are not active on screen.

• Clicks: The number of times a user has clicked on your feature banner

• Click Through Rate: The impressions divided by the clicks represented as a percentage.

You can click on the legend to show/hide a specific data feed.

Conclusion

Our assessment is that the first slot has a huge advantage over the next set of slots. This is due to a combination of the extended time this slot has on screen and simply because it is the first slot. We have taken this in account when working out the pricing for the slots, as well as the difference between the time of week. These figures are always fluctuating as the global situation evolves and we adjust things on our end, we will revisit these numbers every few weeks and update our pricing based on the current industry standard.
