This can happen for a few reasons.
It can happen if your cable or port is faulty, therefore interrupting the install. Try a new cable/port
If during install you pull the cable, interrupting the install.
If you exit Sidequest while it is performing an action.
You will likely need to close Sidequest in your Task manager and reopen.
