Your device is not connected- plug it in and go back over the set up steps until you have a green dot in the top left corner https://sidequestvr.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/kb/view/540540968
ECONNREFUSED
Means something on your network is blocking the file from downloading
-If you are using a special network setup, VPN or firewall or you have also connected your phone or other device to your computer - it can interfere with Sidequest set-up/install.
-Corporate/ public networks will likely have restrictions preventing Sidequest from working.
You need to make changes to your network- turn off any VPNS, Firewalls, Antivirus.
ECONNRESET
Means something on your network is blocking the file from downloading
-If you are using a special network setup, VPN or firewall or you have also connected your phone or other device to your computer - it can interfere with Sidequest set-up/install.
-Corporate/ public networks will likely have restrictions preventing Sidequest from working.
You need to make changes to your network- turn off any VPNS, Firewalls, Antivirus.
Email won’t verify
Click the link in the email. Close Sidequest & reopen.
ENOENT
Means something has affected the file path or files are missing. Close and reopen Sidequest try the install again and if you still get the error send us the name of the app you are trying to install
Enotfound
Means something on your network is blocking the file from downloading

EPROTO
A generic error message that can means many things.
It could be network related- make sure you do not have any VPNS, Anti Virus, Firewalls running etc.
It could be that the download was interrupted- close everything, reopen and try again
It could be the cable - try to install over wifi - How do I Enable wireless mode?
Error: spawn EPERM
Try uninstalling SideQuest and selecting yes when it asks to delete app data, and then install SideQuest again. You may need to move out any APK/game backups you have made.
Error checking for update

ETIMEDOUT
Means you computer is not connecting with the download. Either your internet connection is poor or something on your network is blocking the file from downloading
-If you are using a special network setup, VPN or firewall or you have also connected your phone or other device to your computer - it can interfere with Sidequest set-up/install.
-Corporate/ public networks will likely have restrictions preventing Sidequest from working.
You need to make changes to your network- turn off any VPNS, Firewalls, Antivirus.

HPE_JS_EXCEPTION
This is usually an issue unique to your network set up like a Firewall, VPN or anti-virus.
If you are on a corporate network it is very likely Sidequest will not work. Speak to your IT dep.
You need to make changes to your network- turn off any VPNS, Firewalls, Antivirus.
Install failed: Insufficient Storage
You either don’t have space on your headset or you don’t have space on your PC to download the file then transfer to the Quest.
INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS: Failed to extract native libraries, res=-113
Usually happens if you have connected another device like phone or tablet to your computer.
INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE: Package signatures do not match the previously installed version; ignoring!"
This means you are trying to install and older version of the app. If it is an Oculus store game that you are trying to reinstate a back up it may not be possible if the app on the store has been updated to a newer version.
INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_UNEXPECTED_EXCEPTION: Failed to parse
Usually related to a drop in internet connection, even a minor blip can cause install to fail. Try again and if you still get the error send us the name of the app and we can check.
Javascript Error
This can happen for a few reasons.
It can happen if your cable is faulty, therefore interrupting the install. Try a new cable.
If during install you pull the cable, interrupting the install.
You will likely need to close Sidequest in your Task manager and reopen . If it continues restart your computer. After that then it is very likely a faulty cable.

This issue is usually cause by an internet SSL problem. Are you using a VPN?

Means you are trying to install a version of an app that has since been updated
Ensure you have removed other versions of the app from your headset and try again or install the latest version from the listing page.
